EBONY

I could still see the stretch marks
With pain she brought you forth
You towering fortress,
Of the coward and the thief,
She tendered you faithfully
To the last of her drops
But still you cling and suck more.

Resigned she lies beneath you
Resigned to her fate
Of giving life to another thief
For what saint is he
That keeps dear the company of a thief?
The smell of your talk
Nuscates her to eruption.

Last night she said a prayer for you
That your baby brother
Will not find you for company
An enstranged mother
To her first fruit muule
She said a prayer
That if there be a second chance
Ebony will be reborn
And live in the company of the noble.
